These gadgets are great. More than using them for plastic bags, I use them to dry my latex gloves. Have one in my home that's lasted for years. We just bought a condo and I had to have one there, too.

Although this does its job perfectly, the strong odor of wood makes it relatively unusable to me. I washed it with soap and water and let it air out for a few days. I covered each of the sticks with saran wrap and still the strong scent of wood. I bought this intending to use it to dry out water bottles but even for plastic bags, the strong scent of wood permeates everything. Whether it's a water bottle or a plastic bag, I think we all want the interior of whatever we're drying to not smell of wood. I understand it would be prohibitively expensive to cover the entire thing with a layer of silicone or something similar but I can't recommend it if you plan to store food or drink in whatever you're drying.

We had an earlier version of this bag-dryer. Used it every day. It finally warped so much it wouldn't stand up any longer. This seems like a better quality product. Very happy to have another.

We have had this dryer for many years and it is one thing in the kitchen that gets used every day. Bags get re-used and recycled bags get totally dry. I experimented with many options and was always disappointed before trying this. Have given it as a gift also.
